SURROUNDINGS PICOS DE EUROPA

Asturias display to the tourist a full landscape of enchantments. In the Asturian east we can be from the Mountain range of the Sueve, limiting beaches of Llanes and Ribadesella; the mounts of the Natural Park of Ponga you limit marking them with Leon, until the National Park of Picos de Europa from Amieva to Peñamellera happening through Cangas de Onis, Onis and Cabrales.

Picos de Europa are the first National Park from 1918, being known like Park of the Mountain of Covadonga

All the Eastern coast this formed by beaches and cliffs; Villaviciosa, Colunga, Ribadesella, Llanes and Ribadedeva offer a landscape and impressive surroundings and very varied. The whims of the nature have been able to show colorful places like Gulpiyuri, the Clowns of Llanes, Barro beaches, Niembro, la Franca, Poo, Celorio, Torimbia, etc

If something draws attention in this region of Asturias it is the amount of caves with marked presence of prehistoric tracks.

But the famous ones (Tito Bustillo - Ribadesella, the Pindal - Ribadedeva, Llonin - High Peñamellera, the Rock - Candamo, the Covaciella - Cabrales) have been incorporated recently to the World-wide Patrimony of UNESCO; being united to Altamira and others, like referring in Spain.

Also other caves like the one of the Sidron in Piloña or Collubil in Amieva are study object, whose enriquecera content the information about the culture and habits of the magdaleniense period.
